Bluebird K7 Festival 15th-17th May 2026
In May 2026, Bluebird K7 will return to Coniston Water to mark 70 years since Donald Campbell achieved his first world water speed record on the lake.
This special festival celebrates speed, heritage and community as the legendary hydroplane runs once again on the water where history was made. Visitors can watch Bluebird K7 back in her spiritual home while enjoying a packed programme of family-friendly activities taking place around the lake throughout the week.

Live Music at The Yewdale Inn
Join us at The Yewdale Inn for a fantastic evening of live music. Enjoy the soulful vocals and guitar of Ruben Zopa, joined by the talented saxophonist Julie Rogerson. Together they bring an uplifting mix of Blues, Soul, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Folk, Indie, and classic hits from the 60s and 70s.
It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the Lakes.
Coniston 14
The Coniston 14 is widely regarded as one of the most scenic road races in Britain. Each year, more than 1,500 runners take part, drawn by its stunning route and reputation as one of the best organised small races in the country. The event is proudly run by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Coniston village community.

The Lakeland 100
The Montane Lakeland 50 & 100 ‘Ultra Tour of the Lake District’ is the most spectacular long distance trail race which has ever taken place within the UK. The circular route encompasses the whole of the lakeland fells, includes in the region of 6300m of ascent and consists almost entirely of public bridleways and footpaths.

Lakeland Trails – Coniston 10k & 16k – 6th June 2026
The Coniston Trail Run 10K and Coniston Trail Challenge 16K return to the stunning trails around Coniston. Both routes follow well-marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways, offering runners a fantastic off-road experience.
Along the way, participants will enjoy breathtaking views across Coniston Water and the surrounding fells, including The Old Man of Coniston, Swirl How, Wetherlam and Dow Crag.
Whether you choose the 10K or take on the more challenging 16K route, it’s a brilliant way to experience the spectacular Lake District landscape on foot.
Chill Swim
Long-distance open water swimming isn’t just about swimming around buoys in a loop, it’s about the journey. Travelling the length of a lake from one end to the other (5.25miles), this events takes place on Saturday 20th June 2026.
